First United Methodist Church is located at 315 East Elm St. in historic, downtown Hillsboro, Texas.

Offices are open 9 - 5 each day, Mondays thru Thursdays  (except holidays and noon to 1 pm each day for lunch) and from  9-1 on Fridays.

The mission of the First United Methodist Church of Hillsboro is to be a church where the Gospel is preached, the Word is taught, children are nurtured, familes are strengthened, individuals are introduced to the saving power of Christ, and where those in need can find comfort and support.

Our basic weekly schedule goes something like this:

Sunday:
    9:00 am - Praise Service - This is a contemporary service with our praise band, ”Living Proof”.
   10:00 am - Sunday School for all ages - children thru Adults.
   11:00 am - Worship Service - This is a more traditional service with a choir (come join in if you like singing).
 5:00 pm - “Living Proof” praise band practice.
 5:30 pm - Jr./Sr. High United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF)
   

Monday:
    3:30 pm - Kids Under Construction (KUC) - After school program for children aged kindergarten
                       thru 3rd grade (during school year).
    9:00 am - Wesley Academy Parent’s Day Out (during school year).
    6:30 pm - Singles/Game Night and meal or snack.

Tuesday:
    3:30 pm - Kids Under Construction (KUC) - After school program for children aged kindergarten
                       thru 3rd grade (during school year).

Wednesday:
    9:00 am - Wesley Academy Parent’s Day Out (during school year).
    3:30 pm - Kids Under Construction (KUC) - After school program for children aged kindergarten
                       thru 3rd grade (during school year).
    5:30 pm - Terrific Nights Together (TNT) - Weekly congregational fellowship and meal.  (during school year).
    6:15 pm - Chancel Choir practice - Our Chancel choir sings during the 11:00 am worship service.
    6:15 pm - Tweens
     7:00 pm - Ladies Bible Study - Seasonal.  Check with the church office for particulars.

Thursday:
    3:30 pm - Kids Under Construction (KUC) - After school program for children aged kindergarten
                       thru 3rd grade (during school year).
    5:30 pm - Glory Bells - Our handbell choir practice
    7:00 pm - Wesleyan Study Group (2nd Thursday) - Meets in the Family Life Center (FLC) or at one of the group members’ homes.

Friday:
    3:30 pm - Kids Under Construction (KUC) - After school program for children aged kindergarten
                       thru 3rd grade (during school year).
