First United Methodist Church is located at 315 East Elm St. in historic, downtown Hillsboro, Texas.

The mission of the First United Methodist Church of Hillsboro is to be a church where the Gospel is preached, the Word is taught, children are nurtured, families are strengthened, individuals are introduced to the saving power of Christ, and where those in need can find comfort and support.

Our basic weekly schedule goes something like this:

Sunday:
9:00 am - Praise Service - This is a contemporary service with our praise band, ”Living Proof”
10:00 am - Sunday School for all ages - children thru Adults
11:00 am - Worship Service - This is a more traditional service with a choir
4:30 pm - “Living Proof” praise band practice
6:30 pm - WCW Bible Study Group

Monday:
9:00 am - Wesley Academy Parent’s Day Out (during school year) (changing to 8:30 pm this fall…)
Tuesday:
Wednesday:
9:00 am - Wesley Academy Parent’s Day Out (during school year)
4:00 pm - W.A.M. (Worship/Arts/Music) - Children’s program that combines worship, music, a
children’s choir and more.
6:15 pm - Women’s Bible Study (seasonal)
6:15 pm - Chancel Choir practice - Our Chancel choir sings during the 11:00 am worship service.

Thursday:
5:30 pm - Glory Bells - Our handbell choir practice (Seasonal)

7:00 pm - UMW/Wesleyan Study Group (2nd Thursday) - Meets in the Family Life Center or at one of the
group members’ homes

Friday:

7:00 am (first Friday) - United Methodist Men’s Breakfast
